Become a female football provider - Weetabix Wildcats and Squad Girls

Help grow the beautiful game across our area by becoming a provider of Weetabix Wildcats and Squad Girls.

APPLICATIONS TO BECOME A PROVIDER FOR THE FA’s FEMALE FOOTBALL INITIATIVES – WEETABIX WILDCATS AND SQUAD GIRLS – are now OPEN until February 28TH 2023.

After the success of the Lionesses winning the UEFA Women’s EURO, we want to continue to support all young girls to find their nearest football offer and start to reap the benefits of playing our national game, so what better time to be a part of these exciting programme!

Weetabix Wildcats

Weetabix Wildcats is an offer for every girl aged 5-11, regardless of ability, disability, impairment or health condition, to try football for the first time in a fun, safe environment. Sessions take place on a weekly basis, either evenings or at weekends, and are focused on helping girls make friends, have fun and be active through football.

Squad Girls

squad girlsSquad Girls’ football is an offer for every girl aged 12-14, regardless of ability, disability, impairment or health condition, to play football locally in a fun, non-competitive way. Sessions take place on a weekly basis, either evenings or at weekend, and designed to help develop core skills, both on and off the pitch. Squad also provides the perfect place to make friends for life and have loads of fun and laughs along the way!

Why should I become a provider?

Weetabix Wildcats and Squad Girls are great opportunities to both welcome new girls into the game, and retain those already playing.

Both initiatives provide clubs, schools, and organisations with the correct support to start girls’ football at a younger age group, providing specific training to centre staff, on-going support, branded equipment, and funding to get you started.

What will I receive?

  • £900 of funding over TWO years
  • Kit and equipment - Nike footballs, branded bibs, Wildcats banners, etc.
  • Bespoke training to help you set up your sessions – it is MANDATORY that providers must attend training sessions in March-April 2023
