Autumn and Winter Welfare Officer training dates confirmed

We're running workshops for Welfare Officers from October to January.

IF YOU'RE A WELFARE OFFICER AT A CLUB OR LEAGUE, WE'D LOVE YOU TO COME ALONG FOR THESE WORKSHOPS TO GAIN SOME VALUABLE SKILLS WHICH WILL HELP YOU IN YOUR ROLE.

Prevent Awareness

Wednesday 18th October (6pm) - Online

Learn how to support people susceptible to radicalisation with free Prevent training.

Safeguarding Updates

Wednesday 6th December (6pm) - Online

We encourage Welfare Officers to attend this session to ensure they are up-to-date with FA requirements and upcoming changes.

Our Safeguarding Officer, Lisa Morrison, will also be on hand to answer any questions you have about safeguarding rules and best practice.

ACEs and trauma-informed practice

Wednesday 17th January (6:30pm-8:30pm) - Online

Exposure to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), such as abuse, neglect, and household and community dysfunction, are risk factors for poor health and social outcomes across the life course.

In this session, we will explore:

  • What we mean by adversity and trauma and how common they are.
  • The impact of different types of stress on health, wellbeing and behaviour.
  • How we can create trusted relationships and safe environments to support vulnerable individuals.
