Online Safety Bill passed by parliament

With the law regarding online content set to change, we encourage all members of our community to acquaint themselves with the Online Safety Bill.

The UK Parliament recently passed the Online Safety Bill, which makes online and social media companies legally responsible for keeping children and young people safe online.

The companies will have to remove any content that is illegal or contains harmful material - such as posts promoting abuse, eating disorders or bullying.

You can find out more about this bill on the gov.uk website.

If you have any questions about keeping your football community safe online, or safeguarding in general, head to our Safeguarding and Welfare section.

You can also visit the Childline website for information specifically about keeping children safe online.
