ACTIVE THROUGH FOOTBALL 2 YEAR EVALUATION

Active Through Football is a programme from Sport England, funded by the National Lottery and the Football Foundation to increase physical activity through football for people aged 16 and over from lower socio-economic groups (LSEG).

Working in Collaboration with Merseyside Sports Partnership, Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and St Helens councils this exciting programme has been supporting targeted communities with getting people more active since 2022.

Sessions are tailored specifically to the wants and needs of each community with a focus on bringing people together and improving mental and physical health, rather than just playing football.

We have delivered over 800 Sessions to more than 550 people so far

Richard Jones, the Active Through Football, Project Manager said “ATF Liverpool strives daily to improve the lives of its participants and their communities by increasing opportunities to take part in Football and other activities, reducing isolation and improving mental and physical health. We are extremely proud of the work we have done and the difference we have made to people’s lives in our first 2 years and hope you enjoy finding out about it.”
