Liverpool County FA Centre of Refereeing Excellence (CORE) is committed to developing highly skilled referees throughout the grassroots game, that have the ambition to progress to the semi-professional and professional game of both men’s and women’s football.
The CORE group is designed for Level 7,6 and 5 Referees on the promotion scheme who show great potential and have the desired attitude and behaviour to succeed.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend all meetings:
Sunday 3rd September 2022 - (FULL DAY) @ Walton Hall Park
Monday 17th October 2022 - (6.30pm-9pm) @ Walton Hall Park
Monday 7th November 2022 -(6.30pm-9pm) @ TBC
Monday 5th December 2022 - (Via Teams)
Monday 9th January 2023 -(6.30pm-9pm) @TBC
Sunday 5th February 2023 - (FULL DAY) @ TBC
Monday 13th March 2023 - (6.30pm-9pm) @ TBC
Monday 3rd April 2023 - (6.30pm – 9pm) – Via Teams
This is a very exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to be part of this group and they must show the correct attitude, professionalism, and an eagerness to learn and grow.
The Training Camps will be heavily focussed on:
• Fitness
• Nutrition
• Developing leadership skills
• Communication skills
• Mental resilience
• Teamwork
A huge part of all meetings and training camps will be examining the Laws of the Game.
In addition to meetings and training camps, Referees will officiate at both Liverpool and Everton Academy on U18, U16, U15, U14 and U13 fixtures in the Premier League Academy. Top class coaching will be offered on these games from the Referee Development Team as well as from Level 3 and 4 Referees.
Referees from this group will have the opportunity to be part of International Tournaments and UK exchange programmes – another fantastic experience!
Liverpool County FA CORE is free to apply for. All successful candidates will be given personalised kit and all education will be delivered from some of the best coaches in the country.
