NEW - CPD Dates Announced for 2018
Coaches across Merseyside – the wait is over.
Following the success of our CPD (Continuous Personal Development) events over the course of 2017, Liverpool County FA is delighted to announce dates for phase one of our 2018 CPD programme.
After consulting our local grassroots coaching community, the feedback received has once again shaped the menu for this forthcoming year, and FOUR new three-hour CPD evenings are to take place at Walton Hall Park in the New Year.

COACHING IN THE WINTER
Tuesday 30 January 2018
6.30pm – 9.30pm
Living in sunny old England can have its drawbacks and, as any coach will tell you, coaching in the winter is sometimes not the most pleasant of experiences. This CPD evening aims to buck that trend in order to supply our coaches will new skills, hints and tips around engagement and other new training methods that can be used during the winter months.

QUICK PLANNING & EFFECTIVE DELIVERY
Tuesday 10 April 2018
6.30pm – 9.30pm
We all lead busy lives and don’t always have the time needed to plan coaching sessions. This CPD event will showcase some new methods on how planning can be made easier and simple, with a practical session demonstrating the effectiveness and necessity in planning. The evening will also be a platform for coaches to share good practice around session delivery, and practice design and planning.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING

All coaches at any level are looking for ways to improve their pre-season programme – we believe this CPD event can help this. We aim to provide coaches with new ideas, insight and research on how to design an effective pre-season programme for your players, team or club.

WORLD CUP FEVER – MATCH ANALYSIS, TACTICS, FORMATIONS & GAME STRATEGIES

If England are still in the competition at this point, it’ll mean that the Three Lions have achieved their best result in World Cup finals since Italia ’90 – so what a platform to dissect the story of the competition so far. Using the latest technology, mobile apps and video footage, we will look at formations, tactics and strategies that have been used and consider how they can be taken back to your clubs by observing interactive practical sessions.
