Liverbirds Win Women's Futsal League
The LCFA Women’s Futsal League returned with a bang over the course of spring and summer this year, with six teams taking part in the competition held every Thursday at Anfield Sports & Community Centre.
Over the course of four months, from April to July, Liverbirds, Alder Athletic, Maghull, Liverpool Homeless Football Club and Farmers & Pilkington competed in the league, with teams playing each other twice.
Come the end of the league fixtures, it was Liverbirds who finished top of the pile.

In what was a hugely successful competition, three of the six competing teams had never played Futsal before – but came out of the season having thoroughly enjoyed it, citing that it helped build fitness, team bonding and player development.
