Marine AFC Launches First-Ever 16-18 Girls' Team
Marine Football Club has launched its first ever 16-18 girls team in continued partnership with Elite Sports Academy.
All U-16 Girls teams and individual players are invited to enter a tournament at Marine AFC, The Marine Travel Arena, on 28 March 2019
Following the successful relationship between Marine Football Club and Elite Sports Academy, Elite and Marine are looking to grow their scholar partnership further with the launch of a Marine AFC 16-18 girls' college league football team, to commence in the 2019/20 academic year.
Elite Sports Academy will also, as a key part of the agreement, deliver a study and education programme that includes an Extended Diploma in Sport & Physical Activity combined with a range of other level 2 and 3 qualifications.
This will be a personal experience and could be a stepping stone for girls looking for a career in the football industry, with options to be supported by gaining coaching qualifications, and being able to gain experience in a variety of roles such as physiotherapy, coaching, match analysis and others working with the Marine AFC first team.
The education and football coaching programme will be delivered by qualified and experienced tutors and football coaches employed by Elite Sports Academy and college league games will be played at the Marine Travel Arena.
Marine AFC and Elite Sports Academy are now launching a student recruitment campaign and the entry criteria only requires footballers aged 16-18.
Under-16 girls' teams are invited to attend a tournament hosted by Elite and Marine AFC on Thursday 28 March 2019 starting at 6.00pm, which will also act as an open evening to the scheme. Any individuals interested in the scheme can also attend the event and will be placed on a trialist team in the tournament.
Teams or individual students interested in attending the event should contact Elite Sports Academy coordinator Chris on 07919 550067 or by email to chris@eliteschools.co.uk
