Liverpool Homeless League Back for 12th Season

Successful league to commence for a 12th year on Tuesday 26 March 2019.

Liverpool County FA is delighted to announce that the Liverpool Homeless League is to commence its 12th season, with the competition commencing on Tuesday 26 March.

Hosted at Powerleague Liverpool’s five-a-side pitches by Liverpool Homeless Football Club, the competition will also be promoting awareness of prostate cancer throughout the opening month of matches.

Liverpool Homeless Football Club is itself celebrating its 12th birthday in 2019 and over those years, the support shown for the club from its members has been outstanding.

The Liverpool Homeless League is a great way to engage with new individuals to gain further support for the club and what it stands for. The competition is always a fun occasion, played in a safe and positive atmosphere whilst raising awareness of key issues.

This year, Liverpool Homeless Football Club’s aim is to have the league grow to be bigger and better than ever.

As a result, there will be an entry charge of £100 per-team, with space for 24 teams to compete in the competition.

For that £100, each team will receive:

  • Full kit for the team
  • Goalkeeper’s gloves
  • Shin pads
  • Water bottles
  • Food
  • Tea, coffee and soft drinks
  • Free advice on health issues (blood pressure, STD screening, diabetes, support from Smoke Free Liverpool, chiropodist)
  • Opportunity to speak to an optician from Boots/Specsavers and a dentist (TBC)Information on the monthly topic (i.e. prostate cancer in March)

The Liverpool Homeless League is a great way to provide structure to the lives of our members and encourages commitment too.
