LCFA referees appointed to Women's FA Challenge Cup game
Three girls from our refereeing group recently officiated a match in the Women’s FA Challenge Cup First Round Qualifying.
On Sunday the 18th September we were delighted to see three LCFA girls appointed to The Women’s FA Challenge Cup First Round Qualifying game between Pilkington Women and Sir Tom Finney.
The game ended in 1-1 in 90 minutes with Sir Tom Finney winning 4-2 penalties.
Charlotte and the girls described it ‘great experience’ and were proud to officiate in The Women’s FA Cup.

The three girls are part of the Liverpool County FA Centre of Referee Excellence (CORE) programme this season and their hard work is already paying off.
